What is Partial Care/What do we offer?
Because we encourage owner participation in their horses care and daily lives, we have officially moved to Partial Care only as of June 1, 2024.
We DO have hay available for purchase on a bale to bale, or per ton basis. Both Quality Local Grass Hay AND Alfalfa will be available. We do have some limited storage if you choose to purchase your own hay and bring it. Both options are completely ok. Hay Prices will vary per year based on our cost.
2024 Hay Prices:
Per Bale $15 (Alfalfa AND Grass Hay)
We Provide:
- Feeding 2x per day
- Watering 1-2x per day
- 2 small wheelbarrows for your use
- 24/7 access to all facilities
- A place to dump manure
You Provide:
- Hay, grain and supplements (Including proper grain storage)
- Any Bedding you desire
- Your own Manure Fork
- Your own Water bucket + Water Heater for Winter
- Hay nets/Slow feeders, if used, must be easy to access and use. Corner Feeders can be mounted to the wall if desired.
- You are responsible for cleaning your stall a minimum of 5 days per week
In 2020, we began requiring owners to clean their own stalls to help make board more affordable during hard times. We have stuck to this, because what it did was get owners here more, their horses in turn got out more, and overall the horses were much happier, healthier and more settled and less destructive. By this observation, we are continuing to encourage owner involvement, as a lot of our boarders do have goals and dreams of one day owning property and having their horses at home. One of the hardest transitions for them was, how much hay, what kind of hay, and a lot of confusion about what their horse eats!
