Victory Acres Farm LLC
Victory Acres Farm LLC is a full service Riding Academy (All Ages) and Boarding Facility located in Union County Oregon on the outskirts of La Grande ran by Jaci Weishaar. I am a Certified Master Level CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) English and Western Instructor and I teach a variety of disciplines and levels of riders.
All ages are welcome in lessons! I teach toddlers, kids, teens, and adults. I offer Private, Semi-Private, Adaptive Riding, and Group Lessons as well as Camps and Classes offered through Eastern Oregon University. We also do Events and Clinics throughout the year. My Boarding Facility is Partial Care boarding only, and I only have space for 15 Boarded Horses. I pride myself in this facility being a community of horse people with Horsemanship as our top priority. This creates a fun, supportive environment for everyone. I also offer Overnight Boarding for travelers and Haul-Ins to the Indoor Arena. Go to http://www.cha-ahse.org to learn more about the certification process I went through to become certified. |

My History |
In 2014 I finally was able to build my dream of an Indoor Arena built solely around a Riding Academy focus, where everyone would be welcome to pursue their goals and dreams, free of drama and judgement. Victory Acres Farm LLC has been in business as Victory Acres since 2007, and started as traveling instruction, and has grown into the full service facility is currently is. It wasn't without hard work and determination. It is my dream to see everyone who walks through the doors, achieve a level of Independence, Responsibility and Belonging.
I, Jaci Weishaar, am the sole owner and head Instructor. I spent 9 years in the local 4-H program showing many different disciplines, on many styles of horses. I began training horses around age 14/15 using Natural Horsemanship techniques, and studied different styles and techniques throughout college on through today. I attended my first two years of college at Eastern Oregon University, and finished my final two years at Oregon State University, achieving a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Sciences with two minors, Business & Entrepreneurship, and Animal Science. My entire goal in life was to be an instructor, and barn manager, to help inspire others, and teach kids the value of hard work and determination. In 2008 I was honored to participate in the first ever Mustang Heritage Foundation, Mustang Training Competition Yearling Edition, and took two yearling Mustangs for 90 days and competed in Reno, NV. It was educational, and is a great organization. In 2010 I attended Equissage in Round Hill, VA to pursue knowledge of Equine Sports Massage Therapy, and in 2011 attended a seminar on Equine Appraisal. I am constantly looking for ways to expand my education, and keep my knowledge current and well rounded. I don't practice Massage publicly anymore, but I do utilize it to keep my School and Competition horses in shape, healthy and pain free. In April 2014 I pursued Certification in Riding Instruction and Completed my first course and passed. In March 2018, I traveled to Texas to another Certification Clinic to achieve and earn my Master Level Certification for teaching English Flat work and Western Disciplines. This Certification took years of teaching, hard work and education to attain and is a proud accomplishment for me. I continue my education by attending clinics with clinicians from around the world in Dressage, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Reining and more. I feel you can never expand your knowledge base, while maintaining your core values in your horsemanship. In 2023, I went to Washington and continued my education by pursuing my certification to instruct Adaptive Riders/Riders with Disabilities. Our main focus for this is more cognitive, however, we are working towards being able to work with minor physical disabilities and will have an adapted mounting block with low height stairs and the height to transfer straight to the horse. Now, in 2024, I am beginning my Masters Degree through Eastern Oregon University, to become a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. My ultimate goalis to provide One on One, as well as Group Therapy with the horses. By achieving this, we might be able to offer sponsorships and/or bill insurance for Equine Therapy sessions. |
