Mental Health Group
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and will eventually pursue a Masters of Science in Counseling. However, Mental Health is a big passion of mine. Our typical drop in groups are meant to really focus on Horsemanship skill and growth, so we are offering a specific group for those, still drop in style, who want more of a Mental Health "Day" type lesson. Where we will still focus on proper Horsemanship and Etiquette, but the goal is to spend time with the horses, in whatever way best suits your mood that day. It could be an hour just brushing and grooming, and feeding carrots. It might be riding laps at your gait of choice. I will only help in this group with basic Horsemanship and Etiquette (as nothing with horses is 100% fair game in their mind), and to help you in whatever way you ask to work on.
Please remember that this is a non judgemental atmosphere, where everyone is there to take a break from the fast paced, turmoil we have in this world.
Thursdays - 4:45-5:45pm (Limit 5 Riders) $30 per
In the next few years we are hoping to expand and actually offer Mental Health Counseling with the horses. This group is NOT a counseling session. It is just a self-led break from reality.
Homeschool Group Sessions:
No Experience Needed!
Horses & Helmets Provided
10 sessions over 5 weeks
Master Level Certified Instructor
Limit 5 kids
Ages 7-14
In these groups we cover a set curriculum. Your kids will learn how to handle, groom, tack and ride the horses, but they will also learn care tasks, and trivia facts about horses. Including but not limited to, horse parts, tack parts, how much food and what type and how much water a horse requires, types of bits, types of grooming tools and their purpose and much more.
Session 1: Monday/Wednesday @ 10-11am (Beginning January 2nd; Ending Feb 1st) Session 2: Monday/ Tuesday @ 3:30-4:30pm (Beginning February 6th; Ending March 8th)
Session 3: Monday/ Tuesdays @ 3:30-4:30pm (Beginning April 3rd; Ending May 2nd)
$280 Per Session ($20 savings)
